Our safety culture can be broken down into 8 Simple sections for all to understand:

  1. Eliminate / Control Risks

Never commence a project or Task without proper preparation, don’t cut corners.

  1. Environmental Control

We must be aware of our surroundings and environment taking into consideration other work parties and or members of the Public. Always be aware that the environmental conditions may have changed since the initial assessment was carried out.

  1. Authority to Cease Stop Work

All employees have the right to Stop a task or Job if they feel there is a serious threat or Risk present which has the likelihood to cause damage or harm to persons or assets. REMEMBER, STOP AND ASK!

  1. Working at Height

Eliminate the need to work at height. When Working at height cannot be avoided, we must ensure that we have the correct training, risk assessment and method statement to do so. Collective fall protection is our number one goal. Where this cannot be achieved, we will utilise personal fall protection such as wearing a harness.

  1. Equipment

We must only use equipment that we are trained and competent in using, ensuring all work equipment is tested and serviced correctly before use.

  1. Housekeeping

We must ensure our work area is kept clean and tidy at all times, before, during and after working practises are completed.

  1. Traffic / Transport Safety

We will always obey Traffic Laws and rules, be it on or off site. Transport safety is crucial to our daily operations.

  1. PPE

We must wear the Appropriate PPE for the appropriate task. For each individual task please refer to our site-specific risk assessment, method statements and Permit to Work.
