In line with the company’s approach to safety; Countryside Properties are using our Mac Universal BrickGuard to help improve health and safety on site. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR) state that ‘every employer shall, where necessary to prevent injury to any person, take suitable and sufficient steps to prevent, so far as is reasonably practicable, the fall of any material or object’. This document provides guidance on how suitable brickguards can be used to comply with this regulation.
A risk assessment was carried out by Countryside Properties and they determined the level of protection required; as well as the type, method of fixing, load bearing requirements and positioning of brickguards. Our Mac Universal BrickGuard provides extra stability in harsh conditions and unrivalled performance in strong winds, compared to other brickguard products. This is achieved by the unique design of the handle, coupled with the design of the increased length of the two toe board connectors, increasing the overlapping fit. (This includes System Scaffold at 150mm & Timber Scaffold at 225mm)

The unique design of the BrickGuard handle provides a robust, durable and secure connection to the handrail, with the ability to be used on any handrail with a diameter between 30mm (Haki, Plettac, advanced guardrail), 48mm (conventional tubular guardrail) and Peri 60mm rectangular ledgers.
