JMAC Safety Systems Ltd is celebrating a surge in growth with the opening of its new Teesside office.

JMAC Safety Systems, who have historically traded alongside JMAC Scaffolding Ltd from JMAC House in Stockton-on-Tees, recently acquired an 0.7 Acre site on Blue House Point Road – opposite its Scaffolding premises – and moved its Safety Systems operations to the building following an extensive refurbishment.

This is now the 4th Commercial Property acquired by the Group on the Portrack Industrial Estate, Stockton-on-Tees.

As well as more space, the new office also comes with the added bonus of free car parking facilities for both staff and customers, with 2 Electric Charging Points as part of the company’s commitment to ISO 14001, and reducing their carbon footprint.

Luis McCarthy, managing director, said, “Despite initial job cancellations and postponements during the first Coronavirus lockdown, the subsequent surge in construction projects meant a large volume of enquiries for fall safety and access solutions equipment,  which has resulted in a very strong successive period for the Group.

“Having secured a strong pipeline for future projects , we have invested heavily in product development, Software, material supply and yard space which will put us on track to implement our 5 year growth plan, and will ultimately allow us to capitalise on this strong demand, as demonstrated by our confirmed order book.”

Established in 2015, the firm’s recent investment in recruitment has also seen staff numbers increase to 50 within the Safety Systems Team and 95 within the Scaffolding Team, totalling almost 150 directly employed staff.

The recruitment drive started with investment in the senior management team, and has cascaded throughout the organisation investing in a logistics and professional driving team, supported by extra yard operatives and construction personnel.

JMAC are building on their existing professional reputation to provide customers with a fast turnaround on quality products and services, which has been realised with infrastructure which is now unparalleled.

Our experienced Contracting Team, provides customers with continual supervision, audits and inspections of their access installations, to identify key trends and aids to drive the organisations Quality and Safety culture, through the ethos of continual improvement.

It also has specialist services such as training, provision of branded products and the facility to hire safety products for use on specific build projects, which has been a huge help to their existing client base during these uncertain and challenging times.

Luis McCarthy, managing director, said: “Our five year plan is to grow the safety systems division with a combination of business development and organic growth, while at the same time continuing our main goal which is to provide high levels of service to our customers in the construction market.

The new location of the Safety Systems division is ideal and sits in the firm’s traditional Teesside which has served us so well over the years.

“We are delighted to be starting 2022 with fit-for-purpose premises which underscores our ambition to expand our product availability and our determination to provide outstanding service to meet our customers fast-paced demand to support their staff with the best safety solutions.”
