At the beginning of 2020, we welcomed a new Operations Manager to our team here at JMAC. We had been waiting for our professional team photos to be taken before we posted about this, however, given the current situation, we thought there’s no better time than now to introduce James and tell you all a little more about him. (Please note, the following news post was written early last month before any Coronavirus news affected our work, we will, of course, be looking forward to James continuing with his hard work and plans once we all return to normal.)
Prior to joining JMAC, James has honed his skillset working at a number of big-name Construction Companies across the UK, including; Hertel, Alltask Scaffolding, and Alandale Scaffolding. His most notable work was assisting his recent employer grow from a brand-new business, to an established outlet, turning £20 million plus within 6 years. So far, his 15-year career has seen James managing up to 500 men at a time and taken him to West Africa & London for various roles.
In his new role, James will be overseeing the day to day running of the JMAC businesses, ensuring all projects are completed in budget and within programme. James will also be looking to expand the JMAC client base, with a particular focus on taking JMAC Scaffolding from being predominantly North East based, to delivering the services Nationwide.
Commenting on his appointment, James said: “It feels great to be part of the JMAC team. My friend and colleague, Kieren Cattanach, joined JMAC as HSEQ Manager last year and I was hoping this sort of opportunity would arise after hearing Kieren’s feedback on the company. After spending 12 years working away from home, I’m now looking forward to bringing my wealth of experience back to Teesside, working with Luis and his team and, of course, joining Kieren again. I knew of JMAC years ago when it was J.Mac & Son Scaffolding. For them to have grown from a small-scale business to a nationwide brand that now employs over 100 people is admirable and I’m excited to be a part of it”
