We might think this at the start of every new year, but 2019 really was a great year for us all here at JMAC. We created new products, began working with brilliant new clients, opened up additional departments, and even found some time at the end of the year to get involved with some amazing charity work. Our teams went the extra mile last year to ensure we all made a difference, and we’re looking forward to another exciting year ahead! Read on to hear about our 2019 roundup, and some of our plans for 2020.
The introduction of 3 new JMSS products was definitely a highlight last year for us. The MAC Universal Brickguard, MAC LadderGuard & Extendable Leg were products that had been in the pipeline for quite some time and came into fruition in 2019.
MAC Universal Brickguard
Our revolutionary Brickguard design was created for use in the construction and scaffolding industry, as a result of our frustrations with various Brickguard products over the years. We launched this product in September 2019 and received brilliant feedback from each of our purchasing clients. We’re looking forward to taking this product even further across the market in 2020.
MAC LadderGuard
Another of our brand new offerings to the market is the MAC LadderGuard. We noticed a gap in the market for this product early last year, and spent some time trialling and testing to ensure we could produce a market leading product. We really are proud of what we’ve achieved! This product launched in December 2019, and we’ve already had an order from 5* House Builder, Barratt David Wilson, to roll this product our across all of their sites in the North East.
Extendable Leg
This innovative product comes as an addition to our market leading Macdeck system. The extendable leg was created for commercial build projects which would require our system to be used up to 3.0m high. It’s great to be able to expand our client base, and project base with this product.
So, What Else Did We Do?
We Grew Our Team…
Moving on from products, another area we developed last year was our internal departments. Following an exciting period of growth at JMAC, we introduced 2 brand new key departments within the business; a Sales & Marketing Department, along with a HSEQ department. The introduction of a Sales & Marketing Team has allowed us better service our ever growing client base over the past year and find the time to shout about all the great things we’re doing as a company.
The introduction of our new HSEQ Manager in October last year has strengthened our commitment to promoting the best practise in Health and Safety. Kieren is a great addition to the team, and we’re looking forward to him helping us go from strength to strength in 2020.
We were also lucky enough to win a contract with one of the largest House builders in the UK…
In February last year, we began delivery of the first batch of Persimmon Homes Branded Parts. After our successful tender submission in December the previous year, we were excited to move forward with this House Builder and begin our working relationship with them. We have some exciting plans in place for this year with this particular House Builder, watch this space for an update!

The Teesside Family Foundation are a charitable organisation committed to supporting local people and local causes throughout the Teesside area. Once we were made aware of the kind of help they’re doing in our area, we were keen to get on board and help where we could. The whole JMAC team were kind enough to donate money to assist with TTFF’s Selection Box Appeal, along with raising money to help make Christmas for a family in need. Our MD also very generously sponsored the organisations 2019 Christmas party, which was held for 110 disadvantaged children from our area.
